What did you do this past week?

This past week has mostly been preparing for the end of the semester, for this class specifically, working on the Life project and preparing for our upcoming test. It has been busier this week than others but it will all be over soon!

What’s in your way?

The main thing that is still in me is continuing to be motivated and do my tasks efficiently. I still have the problem of being a bit lazy at times being at home and not really going out. Texas may have started to reopen but I am still taking it safe and not risking myself to the pandemic this soon. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

What will you do next week?

One big thing that I will be doing next week is completing the test we have for this class. I have been preparing for it to make sure I finish the semester in this class strong! I have also begun preparations for my internship this summer.

What was your experience of virtual, pure virtual, and smart pointers?

I am still a little bit confused about this topic. Professor Downing did a good job explaining everything during class but now it is up to me to put in further effort into understanding the topic more. Especially with the final test coming up for us.

What made you happy this week?

One thing that made me happy this week is that we are approaching the end! The semester is almost over and has been quite an experience with going virtual and all and it was certainly something I did not see happening before this year. Pretty soon, I will have another year of college under my belt.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to keep a positive attitude! 2020 has been a wild ride so far and maybe not for the best. Every month so far, something wild has seemed to have happened and this month for May, it appears to be killer hornets appearing in North America. We just have to all remember that no matter what happens, we have to be positive and happy!
